Data we may process
Depending on the features you use, we may process account and profile details (such as age, weight, height, health conditions and goals); wellbeing information you record (habits, activity, sleep, hydration, meals, foods, calories, macronutrients, measurements, symptoms, treatments and notes); data imported from compatible health platforms when you connect them and grant permission; and documents, images, audio or text you choose to record or submit for a feature. We may also process your preferences, language and consent choices, technical app and device data for security and diagnostics, and purchase or subscription details handled by app stores.
Why we use data
We use this information to maintain your profile and records, show your progress, manage goals and plans, provide features you request, respond to support enquiries, manage purchases and subscriptions, protect the service, fix errors and meet legal obligations.
Health data and connected platforms
If you connect a compatible health platform and grant permissions on your device, Kynezia may import the permitted categories—such as steps and activity, sleep, heart rate, weight or hydration—to display them in the app and help assess some goals. You can manage those permissions on your device and turn off syncing in the app.
AI features
AI features require the relevant consent and run when you request them. Kynezia selects the context needed to respond; your entire history is not sent automatically. If a feature uses an image, recording, document or entry, the relevant content may be sent to the configured AI provider. Depending on the feature, providers may include OpenAI, Google Gemini or Mistral. You can withdraw AI consent in the app’s privacy settings; AI features will then be unavailable.
External services, analytics and ads
To provide requested features, the app may rely on external technical services for hosting, storage, accounts, syncing, notifications, support, payments, security or diagnostics. Pseudonymous usage data is used for statistics only if you separately opt in; a technical identifier may be linked to your account, but this purpose does not include health data or conversations with Kyne. Technical error reports may include basic device information, app version, technical identifiers and error traces, but not health records, documents or conversations. The app may show non-personalized ads; rewarded ads are requested only if you choose to watch one, and you can close them. We do not sell your personal data or share health data with third parties for advertising.
Storage, retention and transfers
Personal records are stored primarily on your device and remain there until you edit or delete them, or erase the app’s data. When a feature requires processing outside your device, only the information needed is shared with the relevant provider. Data is kept for as long as needed to provide the feature, respond to requests, protect the service and meet legal obligations. Some providers may process data outside the European Economic Area; where required, the safeguards provided by law apply. You can request further information at privacy@kynezia.com.
Legal bases and your rights
The legal basis depends on the purpose and may include providing the features you request, meeting legal obligations and your consent where required. You may withdraw consent for future processing without affecting processing that took place before withdrawal. Where applicable, you may request access, correction, deletion, restriction or portability, and object to processing. To exercise your rights, email privacy@kynezia.com. You may also complain to the Spanish Data Protection Agency (AEPD) or the relevant supervisory authority.
